"Albacore", is a Hout Bay 30, being built in Pasadena, California. It seems that she has 3 builders of equal standing. They are the owner Dan Knapp, a white fluffy dog named "Bingo" and his evil alter-ego named "Ognib", who controls the building schedule.

"Melkita", the very pretty radius chine Hout Bay 33, built by Mel and Kitty Braun in Knysna, South Africa. Mel was a first time boatbuilder and produced a yacht of which he is justifiably very proud.

"Gouda", another radius chine Hout Bay 33, this one built by father and son Piet Boer (Jnr and Snr), in Standerton, South Africa. They have an engineering shop and used this as a first time boatbuilding project.

Francisco Rego is building an Hout Bay 33 in Santo Tirso, Portugal. Fransisco says "I am very happy with my work in the project, your system for making round boats is very good and easy". Follow his project.

Andy Baguley contracted Ocean Metal Boat Co to build the structure of his Dix 38 Pilot. He is fitting her out himself.

Chris Melvin is building a Dix 38 for himself in England.

Chris Smith is building his radius chine boat based on our Dix 38 Pilot and Dix 43 Pilot designs, in California. This is a first time boatbuilding project and has been expanded to around 45ft.

Dick Roles and Karen Marinovich are building a radius chine Dix43 Pilot. Here she is seen on hull turn-over day and after painting the hull interior. They are building in Roseville, Minnesota.

A pair of hulls to our radius chine Dix43 design, being built by Rob Archibald and Len Helfrich near Richards Bay, South Africa. The one on the left has a fin keel and the other has a wing keel.

John Perkins of Somerset, in Southern England, built a radius chine Dix43 Pilot.

This is also a Dix43 Pilot. Ian Edwards is building her in UK. He has tack-welded the centreline stringer, which forms the bow, to a length of steel channel to stabilise it while fitting the stringers.
