Stability Curves of Didi 950
The stability graph above is the form that most stability graphs are drawn. It is easy to understand for a boat without water ballast but it gets complicated when trying to visualise the interaction between the two curves for a boat with water ballast on one side. The boat is capsized with water ballast to windward but what happens after that? The graph below makes it easier to understand how the two graphs connect with each other and how the boat will right itself from the capsize. It will capsize along the red line and right itself along the blue line. This is the same data as shown in the graph above but presented in a different form.
