JACOBS BROTHERS

Jacobs Brothers is a small but very capable family boatbuilding business which operates from Grassy Park, near Cape Town. They have produced quality aluminum yachts of up to 65ft LOA.

Owned and operated by Fuad and Mylie Jacobs, the two brothers are part of the workforce rather than only managing the yard. This helps to keep their costs and prices down, to the benefit of their clients.

Coming from a family which has its roots deep in the local fishing industry, they have a long association with the sea and all things boating.

After having built a steel yacht followed by an aluminum one for themselves in the late 1970s and early 1980s, their first commercial contract to build a yacht for a client was for an aluminum Shearwater 39.

Dix 43 Pilot for a Swiss Couple

Jacobs Brothers built the beautiful aluminum Dix 43 Pilot "Blue Pearl" for a Swiss couple for world cruising. Her stern has been lengthened by about 2ft to increase the size of the boarding platform.
