The following lists of materials are approximate and intended for calculation of approximate costs. We offer no guarantees of accuracy. They show the quanities that Dudley used when building "Black Cat" and are not applicable to building from a kit, which will use more plywood.

For the Didi 40 and Didi 40cr, increase wood quantities by 5%.


TIMBER LIST FOR HULL, BULKHEADS & BUILDING STOCKS

This list is for construction up to hull turnover stage and covers building stocks, bulkheads, hull framing and hull skin. Various options are open to the builder to construct much of the interior joinery, cockpit well etc before fitting the hull skin but such items are excluded from this list . Cleats to receive joinery attached to bulkheads are included. Allowance has been made for reasonable wastage and scarphing.

If keel and bolts are to be bonded to the hull in epoxy then replace the bolts with 316 S/S M20 Readybar (threaded bar) and another 8 nuts.
