John Keightley is in Langley, British Columbia. He is building a Didi Mini with the help of his son and dog. He has the bulkheads and backbone all set up and is fitting the sheer clamp.

Sam Ausmus is building his Didi Mini in Houston, Texas, from a kit supplied by Rainbow Boatworks.

The clamps that Sam is using are very interesting. He has cut slices from scrap 4", 8" and 12" plastic drain pipe and made a single cut through one side of each one so that it can be pulled open as a C-clamp. He cuts a range of different widths, each applying pressure proportional to its width and diameter. Above he is using 8" (white) and 12" (green).
